You need to include a detailed project budget as part of your application.
If you are applying for a publishing subsidy for the Literature artform or for the costs of a Multidisciplinary arts festival you must use the specific excel templates.
- Use the budget form on the 'How Much' tab of your application form OR
- Download the relevant excel budget template, complete it and attach it on the 'Support Material' tab of your application form.
The following instructions tell you how to use the budget form on the 'How Much' tab.
Select the 'How Much' tab of your application.
Click '+Create New'.
The Project Budget form will open.
Click ‘+Add new record’ to add a new expenditure (cost) budget item.Category:Select the relevant expenditure category from the drop-down list.
Read the Budget Guidelines for more information on each category.Description:Enter a clear description eg. 4 nights venue hire @ $250.$ Amount Budgeted:Enter the full cost for the item.$ Requested from CNZ:If applicable, enter the amount you are asking Creative New Zealand to contribute to the item.
Repeat until all expenditure items have been added.
TIP: Remember to click 'SAVE' regularly to keep your work safe. If you close your budget without saving, your changes will be lost.
Click '+ Add new record' to add a new revenue (income) budget item.Category:Select the relevant revenue category from the drop-down list.Read to the Budget Guidelines for more information on each category.Description:Enter a clear description.$ Amount Budgeted:Enter the revenue for the item.Repeat until all revenue items have been added.
When you have finished working on your budget click 'SAVE' then click 'CLOSE'.
The budget will close and you will return to the 'How Much' tab of your application form.
